Professionally I consider myself quite fortunate that I can earn a living by contributing towards the GNU licensed EpiTrax disease tracking suite. EpiTrax was created by the state of Utah years ago, and I really appreciate that they were wise enough to make this package free. Doing so allowed many other states and organizations to freely use the package instead of getting sucked into some Sales Force-esque closed source boondoggle. So thanks to Utah for valuing community.
When I'm not working you can usually find me riding my bicycle around San Francisco. You can follow me on Strava if you are so inclined. Sometimes (rarely) I will post my thoughts to my Mastodon account, and finally, I have a GitHub account that you can check out!
